Push plates, also known as finger plates, are typically used on the push side of a swing door to avoid fingers marks, scratches and general wear and tear. Ideal for high traffic areas such as hallways and corridors, push plates can be used solely on the opposite side of a door pull handles, or they can be installed in addition to a lever handle or door knob.
